Ruby Trance Volume 3

I was once told "there is nothing so constant as change".  That seems to be true of most things, and the genre of music called Trance is no exception.  In the twelve months since our last CD, we have seen a huge rise in the amount of music released in what we would call a flood of "lounge trance".  Much of this is (in our humble opinion) very ordinary. It is often difficult to see beyond this, to find truly beautiful music - music that makes your heart sing, and your spirits soar.

The tracks on our CD's are specially chosen to take you on a musical and emotional journey. They are intended to be heard in the order in which they are presented to you on this compilation.

The music is captured from vinyl using our special Stanton Reference Master Cartridge.  This cartridge was designed to work with quadraphonic records, and so features an extended frequency response up to 40KHz.  It is true that the range of human hearing only goes to around 20KHz.  But what we can tell you is that this cartridge produces a clarity and purity of sound that is hard to imagine until you actually hear it.

When we master the CD it is done so at a 96KHz sample rate (more than double CD quality which is 44.1KHz) and at 32 bits (double CD resolution which is 16 bits).   This master is then rendered down to produce the CD, and while it is lovely and clear, some of the resolution is lost.

This year, in addition to the CD, we decided to produce an Audiophile DVD of the master.  This is rendered to at 96KHz, 24 bits, so is very close to the original sound of the master, and has to be heard to be believed.  Both CD and DVD are available for your enjoyment.

In this, our latest collection, we present for your enjoyment, a series of tracks that make our hearts sing, send tingles down our spine, and makes our spirits indeed "soar like an eagle".
